Family Portraits
Family

Pat has been doing portraiture professionally since the late 1950's.  During her career, she has continually sought to learn and to improve her technical skill, while keeping to a traditional approach.

Portraiture is one of the most ancient of artistic forms.  We seek to honor and remember those we love with images of them.  These images then become family heirlooms.  For those reasons and others, Pat approaches each and every portrait with great seriousness and respect.  She is honored that she has now done commissioned portraits of two and three generations in some families.  The ongoing relationships with these families is one of her greatest rewards.

Corporate Portraits
Corporate Portrait

Corporate portraiture is obviously a younger genre than family portraiture, and is an interesting and varied field for the portrait artist.
In Pat’s work, it is a relatively new venture.

Virtually every notable corporation has portraits of its CEOs.  Hospitals honor their CEOs and most respected doctors, and colleges their Presidents and esteemed faculty.  The object of corporate portraiture is to venerate the career of a woman or man who has contributed significantly to her or his field.  The artist’s mission is to portray the likeness of the individual and further, to suggest in imagery that person’s unique accomplishments.
